Troubleshooting & Repairs

Electrical faults are stubborn. A breaker that trips repeatedly, lights that flicker when the dryer runs, or a circuit that dies for no reason usually means the fault is somewhere other than where the symptom appears.

We use proper diagnostic testing — not guesswork — to isolate the cause, then repair it with the parts and the method the problem actually calls for.

We also correct panels and circuits installed by unlicensed trades, which is a common finding in older West Palm Beach housing stock.

  • Diagnosed properly

Test equipment and a methodical process, so the repair is targeted the first time.

  • We repair bad workmanship

We routinely correct panels and circuits installed by unlicensed trades.

  • Urgency respected

Sparking, burning smells and hot devices are treated as a priority, and we will do what we can to get to you sooner. Fire or immediate danger is a call to 911 first.

Immediate danger

Fire, smoke or immediate danger?

Get everyone away from the area and call 911 first. Do not wait for a callback from us, and do not try to switch anything off yourself. If there is no fire and nobody is in danger, call the office on (561) 863-7304 during our office hours (weekdays 8 AM to 4 PM) and we will schedule the visit.

How it works

Three steps from symptom to diagnosed fault.

The same process on every troubleshooting call, whether it is a flickering fixture or a breaker that keeps tripping.

  1. 01

    Tell us what is wrong

Call or send the form below and describe the symptom — what flickers, trips, smells or stops working, and when it happens.

  2. 02

    We trace the fault

A licensed technician tests the circuit with proper diagnostic equipment to find the cause rather than reset the symptom.

  3. 03

    We repair and test

The fault is corrected with the parts the problem calls for, and the circuit is retested before we leave.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Anything else you would like to know, call us and ask.

My breaker trips every few days. What is happening?

A breaker that trips without an obvious overload is usually protecting you from a real fault — a short circuit, a damaged cable or a failing device. It needs to be traced, not reset.

What should I do if I smell burning plastic?

Get everyone away from the device and leave it alone. If there is smoke, fire or any other immediate danger, call 911 first. If there is no immediate danger, stop using the device and call us — we will arrange the visit and tell you what we need to know when we call you back.

Will you repair work done by another contractor?

Yes. We will inspect the workmanship, explain what is wrong and quote the correction.
